The PEK (Peli Evaluation Kit) is an all-in-one solution for quickly demonstrating the Peli Lens to patients with homonymous hemianopia. For over 20 years, we've helped patients with this condition expand their peripheral vision, but in-office demonstrations have been cumbersome. The Peli Lens comes in two types (horizontal or oblique) for left or right eyes, requiring doctors to keep multiple glasses on hand. Training prisms were another option, but they are fixed and 50% weaker than the permanent Peli Lens.
The PEK solves these issues, offering a compact, easy-to-use kit for a test run of the full-powered Peli Lens in a removable format over either eye.
- Oblique Lens: for field expansion needed for driving or mobility
- Horizontal Lens: for improved mobility
- Fitover frame: Attaches to the lenses with magnets, allowing testing on either eye without removing the patient's glasses. It also works for patients without glasses
- Training Prisms Kit: for a 4- to 6-week trial
